About Our Team
As a leading Kanata dental care clinic, we pride ourselves in delivering exceptional dental treatments and
giving you the care and attention that you deserve. This is made possible by our team of doctors, dental
hygienists, dental assistants, denturists and administrative staff.
Doctors
Dr. Dan Auprix – D.D.S.
Dr. Dan Auprix attended the University of Ottawa, graduating with honours in Biopharmaceutical Sciences, while also completing studies in Biological Sciences at INSA in Lyon, France. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Toronto.Born and raised in Ottawa, Dr. Auprix values bringing a local touch to his practice. He builds strong relationships with patients and educates them on the best treatment options for their dental health. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys traveling, exploring local restaurants, playing piano, and following sports, particularly Liverpool FC and the Ottawa Senators.
Dr. Auprix is fluent in French, Vietnamese, and English.
Dr. Allen Feng
Dr. Allen Feng is originally from London, Ontario. He graduated with Honours in Biomedical Sciences from Western University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Toronto. Dr. Feng is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care, whether addressing emergency, restorative, or cosmetic dental needs.
Outside of work, Dr. Feng enjoys staying active through the gym, badminton, and running along the Rideau Canal. He is a basketball fan (go Raptors!) and is learning tennis and golf. He also enjoys exploring Ottawa’s food scene, spending time with his dog, Daisy, and being with his family.
Dr. Feng is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Irhan Arifovski – D.D. Denturist
Irhan began his career as a Dental Technician in 2005 and graduated from the Denturism Program at George Brown College in 2009. With a strong passion for prosthetics and a desire to work directly with patients, he is dedicated to delivering quality in every stage of the denture and implant fabrication process.
He continually advances his skills through continuing education and inter-professional collaboration, while staying up to date with the latest materials and techniques to provide the highest level of care.
Irhan takes pride in creating positive patient experiences and is committed to making a lasting impact on both the health and beauty of every smile. He is an active member of the College of Denturists of Ontario, the Denturist Association of Ontario, and the Denturist Association of Canada.
Irhan is fluent in English, Macedonian, and German.
Dr. Ken Duncan – M.D.
Dr. Ken Duncan works as a staff anesthesiologist at The Ottawa Hospital.
During our sedation days, he is in charge of providing anesthesia at Village Green Dental.
Dr. Ken completed his anesthesia training in 2018. He also completed subspecialty fellowships in Perth, Australia. His expertise helps ensure patient comfort through use of deep sedation or general anesthesia
Dr. Shivani Pipalava D.D.S.
Dr. Shivani grew up in Gujrap, India. She graduated from Karnavati School of Dentistry in 2019. Whether addressing emergency, restorative, or cosmetic concerns, Dr. Shivani is dedicated to ensuring each patient feels comfortable and cared for while receiving the highest standard of treatment. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment and is committed to going above and beyond to provide every patient with an exceptional dental experience.
In her free time, Dr. Shivani enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family. She also enjoys practicing yoga as a way to stay active and maintain balance in her daily life. Dr. Shivani is fluent in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.
Dr. Vijayant Kapur – B.D.S

Shelley DeGray – C.D.A.
Shelley graduated from the Ontario Business College Dental Assisting program in 1999 and brings over 20 years of experience to our team. Over the years, she has also volunteered with several dental programs, including The Sulzabacher Centre, The Ryan White Dental Project, and other organizations in Jacksonville, Florida.
Shelley enjoys getting to know each patient and making them feel comfortable during their visit. In her free time, she loves kayaking, recreational roller skating.
Dora Lubangi – C.D.A
Dora is a dental assistant with over three years of experience, passionate about helping patients feel at ease during their visits. She enjoys supporting the dental team with procedures, patient education, and creating a welcoming environment where patients can feel confident about their smiles.
Outside of work, Dora loves to read, discover new places to eat, watch movies, and go for walks.
Dora is fluent in English and Swahili.
Jojo Linsagan – C.D.A
Jojo has been a dedicated Dental Assistant for 19 years, working across both Orthodontics and General Practice since 2006. She is a Level 2 Dental Assistant and brings a wealth of experience and compassion to her role. What motivates her most is seeing her patients smile and leave happier than when they arrived.
Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, traveling the world, and spending quality time with her family. Her favorite hobbies include shopping, dancing, and going for walks. Known for her vibrant energy and positive outlook, she always brings warmth to her team and patients alike.
Jojo is fluent in English and Tagalog
Sienna Gurney – C.D.A
Sienna graduated from the Algonquin College Dental Assisting program in 2024. She has been working as a Dental Assistant for almost 2 years. She is motivated by being part of a team that makes a real difference in patients’ health.
Outside of work, Sienna enjoys music festivals, camping, hiking, DIY arts and crafts, weight training, swimming, and scuba diving.
Sienna is fluent in English and Korean.
Sami Barbir – Lab and Sterilization Technician
Sami is a student at the University of Ottawa, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a specialization in Technologies and Innovation in Health Care.He has been passionate about dentistry since the age of 12 and is dedicated to following the path toward becoming a dentist.
At the clinic, he manages in-house lab services and our social media accounts.
Outside of work, Sami spends his time with friends and family, going to the gym, and cooking.

Sedation Team

Juliano Bortelho – RT
Juliano has been working in healthcare since 2004. He was an accomplished physiotherapist before became a Respiratory Therapist through Algonquin College in 2019. Following that, he worked as a flight respiratory therapist out of Nunavut and Northwest Territories for a couple of years until he started assisting anesthesiologists in paediatric dentistry in 2021. There is when his passion with anesthesia and sedation started.
He completed his anesthesia assistant program in Toronto in 2023 and he has been an anesthesia assistant at The Ottawa Hospital ever since.
Robyn Morel – RN
Robyn is a Registered Nurse who graduated from the University of Ottawa and has been practicing nursing for over 12 years. She has spent the majority of her career working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where she developed strong skills in patient monitoring, critical care, and compassionate family support.
At our clinic, Robyn assists with sedation days, helping ensure patients feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout their experience. Her calm presence and attention to detail contribute to a smooth and supportive environment for both patients and families.
My-An Auprix RN
My-An is a Registered Nurse and brings over 10 years of experience in nursing to the sedation team. My-An holds three degrees from the University of Ottawa: Master of Public Health, Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Honours Bachelor in Health Sciences. Known for her big smile, she enjoys helping patients feel safe and comfortable.
My-An enjoys cross-country skiing and cycling in Gatineau Park.
Hygiene Team
Jansen Richard – R.D.H
jansen was born in Ottawa and graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Algonquin College in 2007. For the past 18 years, he has been proudly serving patients in the Ottawa area. Jansen is passionate about providing the highest quality care, ensuring every patient feels valued, heard, and well taken care of. He especially enjoys working with children and helping them feel comfortable during their dental visits.
A longtime resident of Kanata, Jansen is also a dedicated musician and spends much of his spare time playing in several musical projects across the Ottawa area.
Harnoop Sandhu – R.D.H.
Harnoop graduated with honours from Oxford College in 2006 and was awarded both the Community Participation Award and the Best Clinical Award. Before becoming a hygienist, Harnoop gained valuable experience in the dental field starting in 2003, working as a receptionist and dental assistant.
Committed to lifelong learning, Harnoop actively pursues continuing education and is a member of the South Asian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Hygienists Association, and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario.
Outside of work, she enjoys biking and traveling with friends and family.
Harnoop is fluent in English, Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu.
Tanya Perry-LeGallais – R.D.H.
Tanya has been working in the dental field for 28 years, starting as a Preventive Dental Assistant before becoming a Dental Hygienist. She is passionate about creating a safe, fun, and relaxing atmosphere for her patients, ensuring every visit is a positive experience.
Outside of work, Tanya enjoys traveling, participating in a variety of physical activities, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Andrea Debeau – R.D.H.
Andrea graduated with honours from Algonquin College in 2000 and has been working in the Kanata and Stittsville area for the past 25 years. Known for her warm smile and contagious laugh, Andrea has a natural ability to put patients at ease and create a welcoming, comfortable environment.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors. Whether it’s kayaking, paddleboarding, or hiking whenever she can. Andrea is also an avid reader and a dedicated animal lover. Her favorite snack is anything with peanut butter, and she fully embraces the simple joys of rural life, family, and time with her pets.
Beverly Labrosse – R.R.D.H.
Bev is an experienced dental professional whose career has been shaped by a deep commitment to learning and patient care. She began her journey in dentistry after graduating from the Dental Assisting program at George Brown College in 2004. Driven to expand her skills, she pursued Dental Hygiene at Algonquin College, graduating in 2009, and later completed the Restorative Hygiene program there in 2012. Bev also holds a certification in Teaching and Training Adults, reflecting her passion for mentorship and education within the dental field.
Outside of work, Bev loves spending time outdoors during the summer, especially hiking, and she enjoys winding down with a good book and a glass of wine.
Administration Team
Ashely McDonald – Office Manager
Ashley is our Clinic and HR Manager, bringing years of experience in managerial roles along with a passion for creating a positive and organized workplace. She studied Marine Biology at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador, combining a unique scientific background with a strong skill set in team leadership and operations to the dental field.
Known for her bubbly personality and contagious enthusiasm, Ashley helps create a fun, welcoming environment for both patients and staff alike.
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and enjoys being outdoors, especially when camping or kayaking. And here’s a fun fact, she’s a certified dolphin trainer!
Jessica Sullivan – Office Manager
As our Clinic Manager, Jess ensures the office runs smoothly for both patients and team members. She brings over ten years of experience in the dental field and is known for her organization, problem-solving skills, and warm personality. Her goal is to make every patient’s visit to Village Green Dental Care their best experience.
Outside of work, Jess enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, crafting, and Zumba. She also loves spending time with her husband, kids, and dogs.
Peace Lubangi – Treatment and Hygiene Coordinator
Peace graduated from Carleton University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in English, a background that has allowed her to be exceptional in her role as one of our dental receptionists. She is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming experience for every patient and takes pride in helping the office run smoothly.
Outside of work, Peace is a big foodie who loves exploring local restaurants. She also enjoys reading, going on bike rides, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Peace is fluent in English and Swahili.
Brooke Morrow – Administration
Originally from Prince Edward County, Brooke recently began her career as a Dental Receptionist. She brings with her a strong background in operations, administration, and customer service. She looks forward to applying her skills and growing within the dental field.
Outside of work, Brooke enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her two pets. She loves relaxing at the beach, as well as reading, crocheting, crafting, and journaling.
Adam Kulla -Insurance Coordinator
Born and raised in Ottawa, Adam graduated with Honours from Queen’s University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. While assisting Irhan, he discovered an interest in Denturism so he is currently pursuing Denturism at George Brown College while working as our part-time receptionist.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it is camping, hiking, skiing, or gardening.
Adam is fluent in English and French.
Lindsay Hawkins -Administration
Born in Ottawa and raised in Nova Scotia, she later returned home and spent four years working in construction, building steel structures. After two major spinal surgeries, she shifted into dentistry, where her resilience and attention to detail help her support patients with care and confidence.
She enjoys building genuine connections and creating a welcoming experience for everyone who walks through the door.
Outside of work, she spends time in her home gym, visits local pubs with friends, and relaxes at home with good food and good drinks.
Dron Sethi- Administration & Steri
Originally from Delhi, Dron studied Health Care Administration in Kingston, Ontario and is passionate about building a career where he can support both teams and the community.
He brings a positive mindset to everything he does and is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed.
Outside of work, Dron enjoys staying active with pickleball and table tennis, socializing with friends and exploring new places
